Gallery Okang Machielo Project
The Okang’ Machielo (Luo for ‘the next step’) festival.
The festival took place on the final sunday of the project. The afternoon started with a procession from the harbour (Dunga Beach) to the school.
The procession was interrupted once in while by short plays, dances, songs and a tree plant ceremony. The procession ended on the schoolyard, where a stage was mounted. Here, the end presentations of the various groups took place.
Ook was er een expositieruimte waar honderden kunstwerken te bewonderen waren.
De volgende filmpjes zijn gemaakt tijdens het Okang' Machielo project in Dunga en geven een levendig beeld van de workshops, repetities en de uiteindelijke parade, expositie en voorstelling.
