Welcome to Cre8 East Africa
Cre8 East Africa is a Dutch organisation that uses a creative theatrical process to stimulate vulnerable young people in East Africa to analyse the challenges they face and to find ways of addressing those.
Our aim is to give young people self-confidence, develop their talents and strengthen their position in the society.
Partners
In each project Cre8 partners with Yaden East Africa. For the Masterclass 2021 Cre8, Yaden and the Change the Game Academy, run by KCDF in Kenya work together as partners.
Cre8 in 8 Method
Together with our partner Yaden we developed the Cre8 in 8 Method. This is a methodology and manual for youth groups to set up projects independently.
In addition, Cre8 trains young leaders of youth groups throughout the region in the use of this 8 step approach. In the Train de Trainer the participants learn to set up a project from idea to evaluation and follow-up.
Previous projects
Between 2006 and 2012, the Cre8 in 8 Method was used in a number of projects for vulnerable young people in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
